During my recent visit to Villa Aretusi, I was pleasantly surprised by its charming blend of elegance and history, dating back to the 1600s as the home of the Bolognese painter Cesare Aretusi. The spacious rooms provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration, and I appreciated the thoughtful accommodations with special needs. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the Sotto l'Arco Restaurant, where the young chef's fresh pasta creations stole the show, showcasing quality ingredients and local flavors in a beautifully traditional setting. The staff went above and beyond, offering friendly guidance and preparing a delightful breakfast for us, even as we had to leave early. With Bologna city centre and the airport just a quick drive away, Villa Aretusi is ideally located for anyone looking to experience the rich culture and cuisine of Italy while enjoying the tranquillity of a historic villa.
